A health and wellness coach is a trained professional who helps individuals improve their overall well-being by focusing on healthy lifestyle changes, habit formation, and personalized goals. The coaching process is collaborative, where we work together to identify your goals—whether they are related to nutrition, fitness, stress management, or mindset—and create a realistic plan to help you achieve them.
Rather than providing medical advice or treatment, a health and wellness coach supports you in making lasting changes by guiding you through challenges, providing accountability, and helping you stay motivated. The goal is to empower you to take control of your health, improve your quality of life, and build habits that promote harmony across different areas of your life, helping them work together seamlessly for your overall well-being.

A holistic approach to health coaching considers the whole person, including all aspects of your well-being—nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, mindset, as well as environmental and spiritual health. It’s about creating harmony between these areas to support lasting, positive change.
Instead of focusing on just one goal, a holistic coach helps you address the root causes of challenges and build sustainable habits that improve your overall health. This approach empowers you to make mindful, informed choices that promote balance and fulfillment in all areas of life.

A health coach helps you achieve your wellness goals by providing personalized guidance and support to make lasting changes. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, create a tailored action plan, and hold you accountable along the way.
Whether you're working on improving nutrition, fitness, stress management, or overall well-being, I’ll help you build sustainable habits that fit your lifestyle. We focus on long-term strategies rather than quick fixes, helping you make meaningful changes at a comfortable pace.
I’ll also help you navigate challenges, identify mental blocks, and work on motivation, empowering you to take control of your health in a way that feels good to you. My goal is to help you feel healthier, bring harmony, and be more energized in all aspects of life.

As your health coach, I don’t tell you what to do; instead, I help guide you toward the changes you want to make. My role is to empower you to discover your own solutions, set personalized goals, and create a plan that feels right for you. Together, we’ll explore what’s working in your life, what challenges you face, and how to make sustainable changes that fit your unique needs.
I believe that you are the expert on your life, and my job is to support and encourage you in taking ownership of your health journey. We’ll work together to create an action plan that feels manageable, motivating, and aligned with your values, so you can make lasting improvements in your well-being.

While nutrition and fitness are important components of health, as a health coach, I take a more holistic approach. My work goes beyond just food and exercise to include all aspects of your well-being, such as stress management, sleep habits, mindset, and overall lifestyle.
I help you build a balanced approach to health, addressing the root causes of challenges you may face, and support you in creating sustainable habits that improve your physical, emotional, and mental health. Whether it's finding balance in your daily routine, improving your relationship with food, or navigating life changes, I’m here to help you create lasting transformation.
So, while we will certainly touch on nutrition and fitness, my coaching is about empowering you to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life in all areas.
And at the end of the day each coaching session is about what YOU want. So if nutrition and fitness are all you want to focus on we can do that.

While a doctor focuses on diagnosing and treating medical conditions, a health coach supports you in optimizing your overall wellness. Health coaching is about lifestyle, habits, and mindset—areas that are often not addressed in traditional medical settings.
Doctors may provide medical treatments, prescriptions, or advice on managing health conditions, but health coaches work with you to improve daily habits and guide you in making preventative health choices. We take a more holistic approach, helping you create sustainable behaviors that support your long-term health and complement the care you receive from your healthcare provider.
In short, while doctors address specific medical needs, health coaches empower you to take an active role in your health and well-being.

As a health coach, I don't provide specific diet plans, as that’s outside my scope of practice. Diet plans are typically created by registered dietitians or nutritionists, who assess individual medical needs.
Instead, my role is to help you develop healthy eating habits, understand your relationship with food, and make sustainable choices that align with your goals. I empower you to make informed decisions and build a lifestyle that supports your well-being—without rigid meal plans.

While "balance" often suggests that all areas of life should be equal or proportional, "harmony" acknowledges that different areas of life require different amounts of attention at various times, and they don’t all need to be in perfect equilibrium.
In harmony, each area of your life—whether it's health, work, relationships, spirituality, or environment—plays a role and supports the others, even if they aren't always equal in time or focus. The idea is that all areas can work together in a way that creates a sense of well-being, even if some parts of life require more energy at certain moments.
I believe it's unrealistic to expect all areas of life to be perfectly "balanced" at all times. Instead, it's about recognizing which areas matter most to you in the moment and giving them the attention they need, while still maintaining the understanding that the other areas will also be nurtured when the time is right. Harmony is about integration, not equal distribution.
This approach allows for flexibility and adaptability, acknowledging that life is dynamic and sometimes requires shifting priorities, but always with the goal of supporting your overall health and happiness.

You don’t need to have a clear plan or all the answers to begin health coaching. If you're feeling stuck, looking for support, or simply ready to prioritize your well-being, that’s often a strong sign you’re ready to start.
You may be ready for health coaching if:
You're motivated to feel better but need structure, accountability, or clarity.
You're looking to create lasting, sustainable habits—not just quick fixes.
You've been advised to make lifestyle changes but feel unsure where to start.
You're managing stress, a busy schedule, chronic illness, or big life changes, and want to take better care of yourself.
You're open to making small, consistent shifts that lead to meaningful progress over time.
Health coaching is about partnership—it's not about being perfect, but about being ready to take intentional steps forward. If that resonates with you, you're likely more ready than you think.

I support individuals from all walks of life who are ready to take meaningful steps toward improving their well-being.
I work with teens (ages 16 and up) and adults. While I don’t offer one-on-one coaching for younger children, I do work with parents who want to grow in their parenting approach and better support their families.
Each person’s health and wellness journey is unique, and my role is to support your individual needs. Some areas I commonly help clients with include:
Making healthier swaps in the home (e.g., eliminating red dye, choosing greener cleaning alternatives)
Managing chronic illness
Building an exercise routine
Developing mindfulness practices
Parent coaching
Creating systems at home to reduce stress and support family-wide contribution
Transitioning to new eating styles, such as paleo or whole-food-based diets
Some clients come to me with specific goals, while others just know that something feels off—they’re not where they want to be, but aren’t sure where to start. If that’s you, we’ll work together to identify the areas that need attention and create a path forward that feels doable and empowering.
Clients seek coaching for many reasons: to prevent future health concerns, respond to a recent diagnosis, follow guidance from a healthcare provider, or simply to feel better in their everyday lives.
No matter where you're starting from, it's never too early—or too late—to invest in your health. And you don’t have to do it alone.

At this time, health coaching is not covered by insurance, so I do not accept insurance as a form of payment. However, the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) is actively working with healthcare organizations and policymakers to make health coaching services eligible for insurance coverage in the future.
